Are you looking for information on Steinway piano prices?
Did you know that Steinway design and manufacture three ranges of grand and upright pianos at different price points? So, whatever piano price point you are looking at Steinway may be a great option for you, and well within reach.
The name Steinway & Sons is synonymous with quality and refinement, and while their concert grand pianos may get a lot of attention, Steinway also produce some of the finest upright and grand pianos under three different brands.
Their upright pianos are equal in standard to their grand piano collection, using the same materials, techniques, processes, and craftsman – the only difference being that they are created in the ‘vertical department’.
With over 125 patented features, including a Diaphragmatic soundboard and Hexagrip pinblock, there can be no doubt that all Steinway pianos offer the highest level of expression and creativity.
Furthermore, because Steinways hold their value remarkably well, purchasing a well-maintained second-hand Steinway means you can own an iconic piano brand for a great price, and remain confident that it won't depreciate in value.
Steinway: Three Brands Under One Umbrella
While Steinway & Sons is perhaps the most familiar brand to most of us, there are two other brands under the Steinway name offering entry-level and mid-level pianos to suit every budget and stage of the piano player’s journey; Steinway Boston & Steinway Essex.
Each Steinway brand offers great quality and Coach House Pianos is proud to offer a range of second-hand Steinway grand and upright pianos from each branch of the Steinway family that sit at various price points to suit a range of budgets.
Steinway & Sons Second-hand Upright Piano Price Guide: £20,000 - £35,000

Sitting at the lower price point of the Steinway grand piano range, Steinway Essex offer two grand piano models: 155 and 173.
The Steinway Essex grand pianos are not dissimilar to the second hand Steinway Boston grand piano range, which are better quality, so there is not so much demand for Steinway Essex grand piano models.
