In this seminar, EPTA UK Trustee Yulia will explore this theoretical concept further and turn it into a learning and development session. In this seminar, EPTA UK Trustee Yulia will explore this theoretical concept further and turn it into a learning and development session – participants will receive practical interpretation development advice and the "tools" to improve their music score perception. The seminar is aimed to boost pianists’ creative and critical thinking which in turn should make their interpretations more interesting.

Please note that this is a practical session with interactive learning and discussion, not a lecture.

The Coach House Pianos School Piano Competition Final

Bromsgrove School Concert Hall

The second edition of The Coach House Pianos School Piano Competition has been fantastic, with so many schools registering and entering a student.

The competition final will take place on March 5th 2023 at Bromsgrove School, and we are very much looking forward to hearing from our six finalists, who will perform to an expert jury including Yulia Chaplina, John Thwaites, Alasdair Beatson and Janine Parsons.

The aim of the competition is to give students a positive and inspirational challenge, and to provide them with the type of experience they can expect in a music college environment.  It is also an opportunity for participating students to be a representative of their school and musical role model to their peers.

Coach House Pianos is very grateful to Michael Punt, Headmaster, and James McKelvey, Director of Music, for hosting this years’ final at Bromsgrove School. We are also extremely grateful to our sponsors, Yamaha Music Europe Gmbh and the Musiq Group for their support and generous donation of prizes.

We would love to see you there on March 5th, as we anticipate an afternoon of superb musical performances.
