As we wind up 2020 we reflect on all the good things that have happened this year.
There have been many challenges, but there have also been some very exciting times for Coach House Pianos.
Below is a snapshot of some of our highlights throughout what was possibly one of the most unusual years to date in our 35 year history.
Music & Drama Expo
At the start of the year we attended the Music & Drama Expo in London. Here we enjoyed lots of good conversations, some fantastic pianists stopping by to play our range of pianos and a fantastically fun ‘face-in-the-hole’ competition to honour Beethoven’s 250th birthday.

Bösendorfer Beethoven 2020 Edition
Speaking of Beethoven, this year we were also pleased to add a Bösendorfer special edition model to our website. This piano was designed in commemoration of Beethoven's 250th birthday.
Beethoven Festival at Sheldonian Hall
We loaned the Sheldonian Hall in Oxford a Bösendorfer 280VC and Yamaha CFX concert grand for the Beethoven Festival Gala Concerts held back in March.
35 of Beethoven’s sonatas were played in just 12 hours making this a memorable event indeed!

The Pianist Platform
During lockdown we launched The Pianist Platform with Concert Pianist Yulia Chaplina as the Guest Host.
Throughout June and July, Yulia interviewed 28 pianists and musicians via Zoom, and we hope this provided some much-needed encouragement and inspiration for artists worldwide during a very challenging season.
These interviews are available to watch here and there will be more from The Pianist Platform coming soon!
London Showroom Opening
Earlier this month we opened the doors to our newest piano showroom in Chelsea’s Design Quarter in London.
This has been an incredibly exciting venture and we are very much looking forward to 2021 where we can welcome you to this new and unique space.
