The Design Edition from Sauter are a collection of 10 modern pianos designed by internationally acclaimed interior designer, Peter Maly, including the Sauter Vivace.
Maly’s focus with this collection was on contemporary living environments and integrating the culture of sound within the modern living space, finding the relationship between music and design.
“Like a piece of music, design relies on harmony, rhythm and contrast. Both music and design have an emotional impact.”
Peter Maly
The Distinct Style of the Sauter Vivace
The Vivace finds the balance between traditional form and modern features, using stainless steel front legs and stainless-steel squares embedded in the rim, all the while maintaining a classic shape.

Through a combination of the steel leg construction that adjoins with the pedal upfront, and the truncated keyboard panels, this modern grand piano from Sauter has a sense of airiness and modernism; simultaneously open and enclosed, revealing core functions while leaving space for individual expression and nuances.
