Coach House Pianos Gift Self-Playing piano to Morriston Hospital in Swansea
During the height of the pandemic last year, people took to the streets to clap for the NHS in appreciation of all their hard work and sacrifice in keeping people safe during these challenging times.
We understand that while things are beginning to improve, we have not yet reached the end of this pandemic and all NHS staff are still working incredibly hard for the sake of people’s health and well-being, as they always do.
As a small token of our appreciation, we gifted our local hospital in Morriston, Swansea with a self-playing grand piano.
The painting featured on the white Schriener & Sohne grand piano was done in-house at Coach House Pianos by a member of the team, using the colours of the rainbow that have become a symbol of hope, and synonymous with our NHS heroes.
The painting was then printed and transferred onto the piano, which now sits on the balcony of the medical education area in Morriston hospital for both patients and staff to enjoy.
We are so pleased that the piano is able to bring enjoyment to those at the hospital and are constantly thrilled by the power of music.
My aim for 2020: try to play the piano more. Pandemic prevented that. This gift from @CoachHouseUK to Morriston hospital is absolutely wonderful for both patients and staff 🥰 can't wait to tinkle the keys after a day on the ward (cleaning it before & after ofc) #musicislife #nhs pic.twitter.com/2DojE4dSlv
